Let's try this again

I really thought that creating this blog back in October was going to encourage me to actually blog, but that hasn't happened until now.  I started thinking that maybe participating in some linky parties would help motivate me.  But I didn't really understand how they worked.  So I asked my friend Kate from Quarter Mile Quilts and she explained things to me, thanks Kate!  So, here's my attempt at linking up ... wish me luck.

I made this quilt for my sister a few months ago and finally got a chance to take some outside pictures of it.  I used the Suburban pattern from this issue of Quilty.  The quilt went together very quickly and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

The fabric is Anna Maria Horner's Hand Drawn Garden line.  I purchased a fat quarter bundle from Amanda over at Westwood Acres

Hello Blog World!

Hi!  My name is Kim!
And this is my blog ... Thistle Stitches!!!

I've been wrestling with the idea of starting a blog for awhile now ... and here it is, my very . first . ever. blog post.  And it's just as scary as I thought it would be.

I'm starting this blog to keep an online record of my crafting adventures.  Though I'm sure there will be a bit of my "real" life in there too :)

Now I'm off to go figure out what the heck a widget is ...

Thanks for stopping by!!!
